StartupTrek’s Nikon D7000 Digital Camera, lense, stolen at The House of Shields in San Francisco, CA

My Nikon D7000 16Mpx Pro DSLR, fitted with a 10-24mm Tamron wide-angle lense, were stolen a week ago Wednesday in San Francisco… at a classy, restored place called “The House of Shields”, 39 New Montgomery Avenure – per attached public notice.

If you encounter it online or for sale, please contact SFPD per the information on this notice.

Turns out, there is a pretty good chance i will see this camera again, and that somebody will be prosecuted for the crime.  Because there is a statewide database of serial numbers, which all sellers must file reports from.  And there is a search engine dedicated strictly to searching the Metadata of images that appear online, looking for the serial number of stolen camera.  And we were lucky to get a terrific San Francisco Police Department.  Plus, there are other measures I’m taking to insure the person that ends up with this camera, gets CAUGHT.

When the criminal is caught, i will be blogging about how we did it…
